Ms. Allenfort loves sharing her passion for music with those who cannot attend classical concerts for various reasons. It may be too difficult to sit through a lengthy concert for some, or sometimes it's the travel to the concert venue that is the problem. Throughout the years she has visited and performed in numerous nursing homes and retirement communities, as well as various educational institutions and houses of worship.
On occasion, she invites some of her advanced students to join her in the outreach performances as well. It provides a valuable experience to the student, and a multi-dimentional recital to the audience.
Ms. Allenfort is also passionate about spreading the love of music among younger children. She would come to your school or public library and give a short performance that incorporates some fun facts from music history, music theory, and activities that are designed to raise interests in music. She likes to include interactive demonstrations in those performances—she would play the piano, and let the children touch the piano and play as well.
If you would like to learn more about her outreach performances, or to discuss and plan an event with her, please contact Ms. Allenfort.
